I have been reading a book about prayer. I used to have an awesome prayer life. I would pray confidently and boldly and stuff would happen. Not because I had any special powers but because I was sensitive to the Holy Spirit and He would lay on my heart things to pray for and therefore what He already had in motion would happen and I got to be a part of it.
However, lately my faith has been quite low. I just see all the world around me and I think about how lost all these people are and how apathetic they are and I just think there is no hope.
Well, I have been encouraged lately by these verses. I hope they also encourage you to not give up and to pray boldly.
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
"We live by faith, not by sight" 2 Corinthians 5:7
"so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power." 1 Corinthians 2:5
He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. " Matthew 17:20
